For Loves Sake
Young Girl Reading By A Window, 1912, Art Painting by Marie Louise Catherine Breslau For love’s sake, I challenged the winter morning rain, Running tirelessly, heart racing, seeking my lover’s brief terrain. Prayed for my soul to rest in peace, when no longer in their need, Swallowed their sorrow, absorbed the shadows, the sadness, and ill fate. In return, Love painted life with moments so divine, Turning daily struggles into cotton-candy sunshine. Love became the heaven within earthly bounds, Locked eyes with mine, soul-touch resounds. In the well of emotions, love drew forth my tears, Each drop an intricate life, erasing worldly fears. It made me a poet, words dancing with grace, Breathing in love, every breath a sacred space.
